Shop from a curated selection of Brisbane based designers and take a tour of the Whale Mall with the huge flying whale installation on Saturday December 11th from 9am to 3pm at BrisStyle’s Handmade Markets at Queensland Museum.

Delight in wandering amongst a massive variety of stalls and buying directly from the maker during a super fun and Covid-Safe day out. Take some time and enjoy a cappuccino from the Museum Cafe nearby in between bouts of browsing lovingly handcrafted products. 

Pick up a stocking stuffer or unexpected quirky delight for the difficult-to-buy amongst your mates while providing much-needed support to the artistic community of Brisbane and it’s surrounds.

For plant lovers, pick up a Sparkling Hex Plant stake from Honey’s Plant Climbers. Or perhaps those fashion forward friends might fancy a pair of Glittery Tassel earrings from Sunshine Coast team Auburn Designs.

VISITOR INFORMATION:

Disability Access: The Queensland Museum and Surrounds is a fully accessible site

ATM / Cash Facilities: Whilst many stallholders will be accepting card based transactions, we recommend you also bring cash to avoid disappointment.  There are several ATM’s nearby.   

Toilets: The closest public toilets to the event are located outside the State Library in the Knowledge walk.

GETTING TO THE MUSEUM: 

Queensland Museum South Bank is located on the corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, within the South Bank Cultural Precinct.

By bus - Set down in Grey Street outside ENERGEX Playasaurus Place, Stanley Street Tunnel or Stanley Place.

Due to Brisbane City Council Brisbane Metro South Brisbane construction work, the bus lay-up area will be temporarily located along Montague Road from 26 June – Early 2021.

By train - Get off at South Brisbane station and cross the road at the Grey and Melbourne Streets intersection.

By car - There is a public car park car park directly below the Museum. Enter via the Stanley Street tunnel or Grey Street. The car park is pay on entry, and accepts card payment only.
