Woodland Finds

Hi! I'm Darlene, the maker behind Woodland Finds.

Woodland Finds is a collection of handmade jewellery and crafts that draws inspiration from and incorporates local foraged flora.

Woodland Finds first started in a small west Auckland suburb in Aotearoa (NZ). It continued quietly in the countryside of Komono Town, Mie Prefecture, Japan for several years before currently evolving here in Meanjin/Brisbane.

The surrounding nature in each place I called "home" are reflected in my work - from the acorn pendants made in Aotearoa/New Zealand and the botanical resin jewellery made in Japan to the current glass flower earrings made here in Meanjin/Brisbane.

Woodland Finds is also home to small crafts like acrylic paintings of plants, botanical illustrations, mini-prints of forest-inspired designs.

Each distinct collection from Woodland Finds is created with the same love and reverence for nature. It's made for those who share a love for quiet walks under trees older than cities; those who dream of running away into the woods and being friends with the forest; those who love bringing home a keepsake from visiting a place that calmed and soothed their soul.
