Tanya Burkitt Art

For years I have been creating acrylic paintings and experimenting with various techniques. I am drawn to colourful images and the challenge of capturing a transient moment. When I am not creating art, I am looking at it or thinking about it. I hope that my artworks reflect the joy I experience in creating them.
My inspiration is mostly drawn from flowers, a long-held love from a gardening family. I also create abstract artworks with free-flowing acrylics, responding intuitively to parts by chance and developing other sections by choice.
Recently I have enjoyed the challenge of alcohol inks, creating artworks on yupo, canvas, glassware and white ceramics.
I use some of my original artworks to create prints and notecards. To paint and create makes my heart sing. I am excited to share my joy with you.
