Paula Boo

Paula Boo is an artist, musician, and environmental scientist whose practice bridges creative and analytical worlds through a deep connection to community and the natural environment. Working primarily with natural fibres and salvaged materials, Paula combines traditional and experimental basketry techniques, currently exploring the integration of metalwork, ceramics, botanical dyeing, printmaking, and cyanotype. Her practice is grounded in a respect for the ancient traditions of weaving and basketry, learned from both traditional and contemporary makers, and is driven by a commitment to continual learning, sharing knowledge, and evolving weaving as a vital contemporary art form.
