Katie Bourchier is an emerging contemporary jewellery and small objects artist, living and making in Meanjin, Brisbane. Katie’s silversmithing practice began at the Queensland College of Art in Southbank. Katie regularly exhibits locally and internationally. Katie is informed by the ancient techniques of lost wax casting, which translates in her work through organic, industrial and otherworldly forms. Having also an interest in mythology and ancient history, Katie Bourchier’s signature designs are narratives on the beautiful absurdity of our natural and cosmic worlds.
