Hello there and welcome to Fluturi.
I am Rebecca Keals, a creative designer from Pomona, in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I create beautiful, handmade clothing for children, inspired by the magic and whimsy of childhood; as well as beautiful designer décor pieces for your home.
My studio is nestled in the forest, and I draw my inspiration from the beauty of nature, and from nostalgia – the time . when children dressed as children and were free to spend their days in play and daydream, frolicking in imagined far-away magical lands.
There are no shortcuts taken when it comes to the creation of Fluturi products. Every step of the process, from cutting to packaging, is done by hand in my studio here in Pomona. I pride myself on creating my best for you, with love and care for the finer details. Through my passion for sewing, I hope to provide you not just with an heirloom piece to treasure, but with a wonderful handmade shopping experience too. Fluturi pieces are either one of a kind or from a small batch of one in each size. I just love seeing children dressed in something that reflects who they are.
My construction processes in both my clothing and décor lines helps to ensure that Fluturi pieces are out-grown, before they are worn out. With this in mind I use high-quality, hand=selected fabrics, and quilting cotton to ensure longevity of the piece. This also supports my ethos of not contributing to the throw away consumer cycle. I make double-folded hems where possible in my clothing, so if your little one has a sudden growth spurt, the hem can be let down and your Fluturi piece can be worn even longer. I also offer an alteration service to let out seams or trim a romper into a top; helping you get the longest wear possible from your Fluturi delights.
This is the beauty of handmade – it’s real, it is unique and it’s created lovingly by hand. Please explore my store and message me if you would like a special one-off Fluturi creation for your little person, or your home.
I look forward to creating something beautiful for you.
"As a child, one has that magical capacity to move among the many eras of the earth; to see the land as an animal does; to experience the sky from the perspective of a flower or a bee; to feel the earth quiver and breathe beneath us; to know a hundred different smells of mud and listen unself- consciously to the soughing of the trees."
