BRISSTYLE DESTASH CRAFT SUPPLIES MARKET
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and associated bans on holding mass gatherings and events, the BrisStyle committee has made the decision to postpone this event until a later date in the year. Please sign up to the BrisStyle newsletter to stay up to date on when this event will be rescheduled for.
The BrisStyle Destash Market is back for 2020 and its going to be bigger than ever! What is a Destash? A Destash is where crafty people get together to buy and sell their stash of supplies that's overtaking their workshops!
There's a global movement towards slow fashion and BrisStyle is helping local makers to offload their surplus craft supplies with a market event targeted specifically at second-hand and vintage wares.
A destash market is an opportunity for makers to buy and sell craft supplies with like-minded creative people.
BrisStyle Operations Manager, Belinda Harris said “At this time of year, so many people are cleaning out their supplies and it's a great chance for them to be put to good use by being up-cycled, recycled and reused. There really is nothing like this event in Brisbane with a whole range of craft supplies for all disciplines and it's a great chance for makers to find some really unique, truly affordable supplies”.
Many makers will also be selling their seconds and sample stock, so there's something for everyone!'
Previous Destash markets have included vintage tea towels, japanese fabrics, mannequins, beading supplies, vintage teacups and saucers, buttons, yarn, knitting and crochet supplies, glass bottles, vintage doilies, patterns, sewing supplies, paper and everything else in between.
All members of the public are welcome to attend and all sellers are welcome to apply for a stall.
Entry is free with parking available on site.
This is a great chance to buy some unique supplies at thrift shop prices!
